Let’s Make Reading Progress Fun, Fast and Efficient!
It’s essential to build a strong base and a love of reading. It changes everything. But sadly only a third of children become enthusiastic, proficient readers.
So how’s it going for you? Perhaps it’s going okay, but you feel your child would benefit from some coaching, to get them into that top zone of mastery?
Or maybe you’re seeing persistent frustrations? Maybe things like:
- Guessing?
- Skipping words?
- Reluctance to read?
Do you get the feeling that it should all be a bit easier?
Well, you are right. I can coach both you and your child in the tools and techniques that will make progress seem much easier. You will see an immediate change in the daily experience of reading practice.

How Does it Work?
There are three critical elements to how I can help:
1 – Coaching Sessions
My aim is for the daily sessions you do together to go brilliantly when I am not there. So each of our sessions together will be focused on that. It will be you, me and your child on Zoom together.
2 – Tools and Techniques
I can share tools and techniques that will make the whole process so much easier. They will revolutionise your daily experience, so that it becomes fun and effective instead of sticky, tricky and stressful.
3 – Fixing Frustrations
The brightest children are often the ones to find reading most frustrating. But there are always solutions. We can analyse what is going on and deliver the fix needed for any difficulty. It can be totally life changing.
How to Test This Support:
Step 1: Book in for a free consultation on Zoom. We can discuss your aims and I can answer any questions you have.
Step 2: In our first session for the three of us, I will introduce you and your child to our resources and we will do a first reading session together.
Step 3: You will then settle into a comfortable routine of short daily sessions, with regular catchups for the three of us to monitor progress and keep things on track. I am there to answer any question if something is causing frustration.

FAQs
How much does it cost?
My support costs £77 per month.
What if my child doesn’t like it?
No worries! You can cancel any time. But that is very rare.
What if it doesn’t work?
We will discuss your child’s situation and your aims in our initial chat. I can then suggest what will be possible in the first few weeks and guarantee that outcome. You can take an unconditional refund if you don’t think we have achieved that.
How old should my child be?
The process will help a child at any stage of the learn-to-read process. This is about raising the final level of proficiency for every child.
Is this compatible with the school processes?
Absolutely. This is about how you get reading practice done each day and sorting any barriers to that happening successfully.
Won’t my child learn to read well anyhow?
Check the UK Government data for this and you will see that 26% cannot pass even a basic reading assessment at the age of 11. Some of the brightest children are the ones struggling most, for reasons I can explain.
What if my child is dyslexic?
I love working with dyslexic children because I’ve seen such amazing turnarounds, sometimes in just a few weeks. In my experience, if a child can speak the language and see the text clearly, they can learn to read.
How long does it take?
That depends on so many factors that it is impossible to say. We can explore those factors in our initial consultation. It can be anything from a few weeks to a few months. The only thing I can promise is that I will share with you the ways to get the strongest and fastest results.
About Me
I have been helping children accelerate their reading progress since 2008. I am now doing that as part of the All Aboard Reading Coach Network.
I love being part of the AARC Network, because we see such incredible results. It’s very rewarding. I believe we have better tools and techniques than any other organisation involved in literacy. In addition, the network gives all of us a team to work within, even though we are each independent tutors. That breadth of experience is a huge help.
My background is in engineering originally. I then spent time running various businesses and got involved in education as a cofounder of the Shannon Trust, which gets prison inmates to teach each other to read. Literacy is a bit of a mission for me, having struggled to read through childhood myself!
